Ride to Cedar Key

(approximately 200 miles roundtrip starting and ending in Leesburg)

Cedar Key, located on a small island (key) on the Gulf Coast, is a rustic, old fishing village.  At one time it was also a shipping port for lumber until the cedar trees gave out and the lumber mill closed.  Many of the buildings in the village date back to the late 1800s.  Cedar Key has a number of restaurants and shops, and if you’re lucky you might even see dolphins swimming in the harbor as you enjoy lunch.  (Key: US – Federal Highway; SR—State Road; CR—County Road)
