How We Ride – the LCHOG Group Riding Presentation

Group Riding Skills logo

Our How We Ride program is an opportunity to learn about group riding and how our Chapter rides as a group, share safe riding tips, get to know one another. The entire presentation emphasizes rider safety.

Our Lake County H.O.G. Road Captains, during the presentation will acquaint riders with pointers on what to expect when riding in a group, covering pre-ride bike staging, hand signals, riding formation, spacing, speed, lane changing, road hazards, weather, group parking and more.

At the conclusion, we take a nice, scenic 50-mile group ride that provides an opportunity to experience, practice and reinforce many of the scenarios discussed in the presentation.

The How We Ride program is scheduled periodically and takes place in the second floor Chapter meeting room at the Gator Harley-Davidson dealership. Refreshments are provided during the 75-minute presentation after which we break and prepare for our scenic group ride. Mid-route we stop as a group to critique the ride to that point and award you with our Chapter’s Group Skills Riding pin. From there, we complete our route returning to the dealership or stopping for a lunch and more fun and camaraderie as determined by the group.
