Volunteer

Lake County H.O.G. relies upon volunteers to fulfill various and necessary functions and activities. Some of these roles involve support at special events while others are routinely needed at each monthly meeting.

If you’re new to the Chapter – and even if you’re not so new – volunteering is a dynamite way get to know your fellow members. Don’t worry, there are always plenty of experienced members around to help you learn the ropes and to answer any questions you might have. And it’s a whole lot of fun!

In return for your effort you will be entered into the drawing for the Volunteer of the Month and eligible for the monthly reward of a $20 Gator H-D gift card.

Take a look at the opportunities below and sign up today!

Thanks, your support is greatly appreciated.

Front Table Help at Monthly Meetings

Sign-In – You’ll help Members and Guests sign in. When Members sign in, you’ll drop the chip corresponding to their sign-in sheet line number into a bucket for door prize drawings and stuff. When Guests sign in, you’ll help them to get oriented and help them feel welcome.

50/50 – You’ll sell 50/50 tickets from the front table, separating the user portions of the perforated tickets from the drawing portions, putting latter in a bucket for the drawing. Treasury cash (bank) is provided. You’ll accept cash for tickets and make change. Ticket sales stop when the General Membership meeting begins so that you can participate in the meeting. You’ll reconcile the take by subtracting the bank, splitting the remainder into pot and profit. Finally, you’ll pass the drawing tickets, bank, winnings and profit to the Treasurer.

New Member Registration / Membership Renewals – You’ll provide support to our Membership Officer, explaining the Enrollment Form & Release to Members, collecting completed forms and dues payments (cash or check). You’ll verify that forms are complete and legible, and mark the form with payment status (date, cash or check, check number if applicable). During Renewal season (October/November/December) the workload can be intense.
